Game of Thrones has been massive for Northern Ireland and so if you’re a massive GoT fan you should definitely find a day or two in your schedule to go and see the key sites – the Dark Hedges, Portstwart Beach and Ballintoy Harbour are all are within 30 minutes of Portrush. The film studio in Titanic Quarter is just over an hour away (not much to see there in truth) and all the other iconic locations are within 2 hours drive.  In this section we’ll try and give you an insiders local guide to how to see it all and get around.

Dark Hedges (25 mins from Portrush)

A small lane in the middle of nowhere – get up early to see it like this without any cars! Click here for more info

Ballintoy Harbour (20 mins away)

An iconic set, has a harbour, lime kiln and a cave. A beautiful spot for a walk through GoT scenery round the coast to the left. Fab snacks in Ballintoy Harbour itself at the amazing Roarks Kitchen (Irish stew & wheaten recommended!)
