Most recently shot to fame as one of the film settings for Game of Thrones, Ballintoy is a gorgeous wee harbour, tucked away down a windy road, just past one of the most beautiful churches (we think) in the world – Ballintoy Church – a stunning white church, a beacon standing out in the middle of the countryside guiding you in. The harbour itself houses a unique lime kiln, a beach, cave, cottages and Roark’s Kitchen, a fab cafe with the best Irish Stew and wheaten bread (and tray bakes). You can either see Ballintoy by parking at White Park Bay and walking the length of the beach and around the headland into Ballintoy (one hour stroll), snacks at Roarks and then head back to the car. Or drive there directly and if you fancy a stroll head left past the cave and onto the beautiful coastal path.
